Fibro campaign

For those of you who have been following this blog since the onset, I am sure you are aware that often I write about a complex syndrome known as Fibromyalgia. Many of the emails about Fibromyalgia that I receive come through this blog.

Every year a group of dedicated people get together to organise a campaign for the awareness of Fibromyalgia and this year is no exception.

The theme for this years awareness campaign is Hold My Hand, so that is what I am doing now. I am holding out my hand to you to ask that you take hold of it and help us with the Fibromyalgia campaign. Together we can help raise awareness for this horrible illness.

As many of you know, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia almost 9 years ago and I can tell you 1st hand about living with the effects of it and all the frustrations that invade the life of anyone who has this illness.

One of the biggest problems that Fibromyalgia causes, apart from the actual symptoms, is the lack of understanding most people have about it. Most sufferers of the illness are deemed to be lazy, or imagining the symptoms, when in fact this couldn’t be further from the truth.

By helping with this campaign you will be helping to make life a little better for anyone who has Fibromyalgia. Let me tell you of some ways that you can help.

a. If you can’t give a lot of time to the campaign, you can consider displaying the little butterfly in your social network profiles and when your followers ask you can just let them know that you are supporting the Fibromyalgia Awareness Campaign.  Easy!

b. If you are a media professional please get in touch for further information. Articles, press  releases, blog posts and any other outlet you may have to help with the campaign.

c. Find out about Fibromyalgia and let others know what it’s all about. Word of mouth is a powerful tool!

If you can think of other ways to help raise the awareness of Fibromyalgia then please get in touch.

Further information will be available as the campaign progresses.

Go on, Hold My Hand and help to make life a little easier for anyone who suffers from this disabling illness.

Get in touch today.
