Lazy afternoon

02 Jul

Ironing all done and put away

Household chores all done for the day

Sitting and resting with  a cup of tea

It’s my time precious just for me

The sun is shining birds fly high

Lazy clouds float way up in the sky

A sigh of contentment a beautiful day

Stress has gone just pushed away

Closing my eyes listening to sounds

Listening to insects buzzing around

Glorious day don’t let it end soon

Just drifting away on a lazy afternoon

Such a relaxing, meditative poem. I could use a moment like that right now listening to chaos in my house lol

Hmm, like a cool breeze and a sip of lemonade on a hot summer’s day. “Stress has gone just pushed away” 🙂

I lovely poem that speaks of a simple time we often think we cannot recapture. Nice.
